6/6/06, saw Vader and Destruction in Cincinnati and Vader closed with "Raining Blood".

Yeah, how was your National Day of Slayer on 6/6/6? Not as cool as mine? Didn't think so. :nutkick:

:blaze:

My national day of Slayer this year will be spent seeing Testament and Skeletonwitch!

Not fucking bad. Here's hoping the 'Witch break out a Slayer jam.

Honestly, this should be national day of Iron Maiden. Slayer never used 666 in their lyrics (at least not on the records that mattered) and Maiden said that shit in 1982 before Slayer had a record contract.

Maiden already has their own day.

thats a good point. tho slayer rules, i dont completely understand why they are always the first band mentioned whenever someone brings up the topic of satanism in metal.

Because the public is stupid and they dont know anything about Satanism or metal.

I think Slayer is the most identifiable "evil" band. Black Sabbath doesn't really seem like the spawn of satan anymore, thanks to the magic of MTV. The general public has no idea what Venom is or any other slightly underground metal band is.

I totally forgot about this. Fuck it, I'm listening to Venom today.

Edit: maybe I'll bring out my new Psychopathy Red 7" too.

June 6 is also the birthday of the antichrist, assuming he/she was born 3 years ago.

of course, this birth would have to have occurred in the 6th hour of the 6th day of the 6th month... oh wait, that's someone else... my bad ;)

Regardless, Mercyful Fate should take the "evil" title over Slayer anyday.
Slayer aren't even Satanists, and haven't sung about half the evil shit MF did.
They also didnt "crucify" topless "nuns" on stage. Or burn crosses.
