I've started buying pinchers/plugs/talons in holiday colors, just so I have some variety of different types/colors of earrings in my ears. So I just bought some yellow talons with brown stripes for my Thanksgiving colors.

So you're a freak, but you still care about the holidays enough to color-coordinate? Interesting. ;)

I'm pretty sure I have once or twice. I don't think I had a bad experience because I would have remembered if it I did.

Twice. Both absolutely fine on their part. Also dispatched on time and packaged brilliantly.

Once I had to drive to the courier's depot to pick it up though because that particularly courier don't do re-deliveries. Not entirely NB's fault, although they always use this courier (DHL) and they aren't great.

Don't know if you have DHL out there? Might default to someone else, or even UPS?

I've bought from there before and it's been a good experience but you better check the shipping cost before you order. I believe they only offer one flat rate to America, no matter how much you order. I ordered some heavy stuff (couple of boxsets) so it probably worked in my favor but if you're just looking to get a couple CD's I think the shipping cost is really gonna bite you in the ass.

I've never ordered something that wasn't automatically shipped to me by the United States Postal Service.

That's what I'm doing, since it's not available in the US (I wouldn't be ordering from them otherwise). I wouldn't be buying a couple of CDs either because everything seems overpriced, like what you would pay in dollars is just changed to euros.

Packaging is kind of a big deal for me too. Nothing pisses me off like being charged $4 to have a record shipped via media mail in a cardboard box folded flat.
I've only got something through DHL once from China, and I wasn't home so USPS might have dropped it off.

Also about how long did your orders take to get to the US?

IrritatedTrout
11-11-2009, 12:11 PM
Their packaging was really good, everything arrived on one big box but the stuff inside was put into other boxes and bubble wrapped and stuff. I think it took like two weeks to get here.

I guess, but there are way too many shows on the agenda for me to carelessly throw away $130 just to see them 3 in front. Besides, I've seen all three in the front, and I'm sure I will again, this time ain't worth it for me in the slightest.

Let me know about the tracklist for the 2nd disc when you get it, too, since I haven't seen any. I've heard that there's a bit of their set from ProgPower USA VIII on it, mainly curious as to if it's the songs that were on that year's fest DVD (New World Order & Supremacy Our Kind) or other ones. Thirty big ones. They are selling for $250 or more on eGay. I will never part with mine, though - gonna get it framed (and BTW, it's #124 of 200).

 Goddammit, I wish they hadn't sold out at the show. I was gonna be one of the suckers who paid 250 online, but I think John should be getting my money, not some guy on eBay. Hopefully next time I get the chance to see Baroness he'll bring some more prints.

Heres the deal: I bought it two years ago, it broke once already, and I bought a new one. My newest one broke, and is in the process of being replaced under warranty. In the meantime, this 80GB started working again and then broke again. I saw that on ebay they fetch for a little money...

And like he said, I'm in college. Every cent counts.

EDIT: Its up to 50 dollars already...I can't tell if thats legit.

:) Both from the same seller, I was only bidder on the Sabbat shirt and got it for $12, but the Gorguts shirt ended at $63!! My bid was $23, though, and after the auction ended I got a second chance offer from the seller with a message saying "Season's Greetings!", so I don't know if he had two or what, but I'm not complaining that I paid $40 less than the auction ended for, especially since I've seen Gorguts shirts go for $100-200.

It's pretty sick... sold out in half an hour.
It comes in a wood box with the cover screened on (it was supposed to be burnt at first, but apparently that was no bueno). The actual vinyl is double 180g/45rpm on purple/black, in a purple sleeve. It comes with a poster and slipmat of the artwork, the booklet, and a patch.

tldr: yeah it's pretty cool
Edit: Today I put up the tour edition copy I got that I didn't open because I heard about this coming out soon after, sold in less than 12 hours.

I've almost completely stopped buying CDs. Since I rarely or never use them after ripping them to my computer (maybe in a car), they just don't do much for me anymore. The artwork, sound quality and collectability is worth the extra 5-10 bucks to me.

Ordered a few CD's online recently / waiting to receive them:

Russian Circles - Geneva (because they were sold out at the show I went to a few weeks ago!)
Caspian - Tertia (post-rock release of the year...?)
La Fin du Monde - Monolith (will be reviewed on my "Best of 2009" list if I get it in time)
Isis - Live 5 (live recording of the entire "Oceanic" album in full on 7/23/06 at ATP in London) - limited to 1,000 hand-assembled copies - thanks, eBay!

Half a good album, that. Some of those work really well, but there are a few dodgy choices there.

Yeah it's alright, I have all their albums except the live ones, Something Wild, and Trashed, Lost, & Strungout and the only covers I've got are Ghost Riders In The Sky, Silent Scream, and Hellion so it was cool to get all the ones I haven't heard yet.

It is quite good. A lot of new features and the customazation is even crazier in this one. They really stepped up the online as well.

Unfortunately, no Bed Of Nails :(

Sweet. I spent many hours playing the first with my brother, throught the customization was pretty lame, especially the PIMPED shit. I'll probably get The 40th Day after I figure out my college sheiße.

I'm assuming you don't even have a PS3, so I'm gonna tell you right now that Uncharted 2 is one of the best games I've ever played. It definately deserves any Game of the Year award it gets. Arkham Asylum is awesome too, but Among Theives was just epic.

Also, I picked up:

Uncharted 2 was nothing special aside from the fact that it was the first "must-have" game for the PS3 system. The hype machine and the sony defense force were shoving the game down everyone's throat so they'd foolishly believe it was something amazing.

Yes, the game is good. Yes, the game is overly cinematic. But game of the year? No way.

i saw my friend playing that game. it looked like a 3rd person Far Cry. the "puzzles" amounted to nothing more than running around mashing the action button until u triggered something to unlock the next room or w/e.

graphics were amazing tho, games set in the tropics are always fun to look at because of all the vibrant colors.

I forget which game, but there was one where the game reviewers were flown in to a city by the game devs and got to stay in a super-nice hotel room and were provided with endless free drinks and even strippers before they got to play the game. I wonder what score the game was going to get.

It was probably MW2 because I can't imagine how anyone could give that game a perfect score unless they were drunk and surrounded by strippers.
