Well, get this shit. Apparently the 21 cent Repulsion - Horrified deal was only 21 cents if you bought something else with it. I found this out because my order was canceled and I had emailed Relapse about it and that is what they told me just now.

Hey Relapse, next time you have an amazing deal like this, make sure to actually mention the catch to it and not get everyone's hopes up and cancel their orders!

:finger2:Are you sure it wasn't in the fine print somewhere during the ordering process? I mean, I know that's a little bit of a pain-in-the-ass way to handle things, but if it were me and I was getting a CD for 21 cents, I'd really be on the lookout for the strings that are surely attached, know what I mean?

Anyway, on topic:

Two tickets for me and the wifey to see the musical genius that is Mike Doughty (and His Band Fantastic) this Sunday.

Only problem is, I hear he isn't playing Soul Coughing stuff on this tour, which is a little disappointing (oh who the fuck am I kidding...I was nearly heartbroken when I found out :bawling:), but still...I'm stoked as fuck for this. A musical gig that's not U2 that my wife and I are gonna dig like a motherfucker...rock on! :fist: :rocker: :fist:

I didn't see anything about it anywhere. Relapse emailed me back and said that it was mentioned on facebook and twitter. I don't have a twitter and I found out about the deal through facebook and saw NOTHING there about it. But they refunded my money ($3 lol) and apologized for the confusion.

Apparently they're gonna have 21 cent deals going on for the next 3 weeks. The next one is a General Surgery album, but remember to buy something else to get it for 21 cents! :bouville:

Thanks man. They open for Obscura tonight. Its Video Game inspired Metal. Their first album has a lot of Deathcore to it, But their newest album is very Proggy and Technical.

Like I mentioned in the St. Paul, Obscura thread, their merch table had a screen with an Xbox hooked up to it, featuring their own video game based on their new album. If you got the top score, you won a free t-shirt.

I wish I could have seen that before the end of the night so I could have played. But they are coming back on the 30th with Protest The Hero and Scale The Summit. so I will play it then, and do my damnest to win a shirt

The most expensive was like $225 after charges. I agree that $113 is pretty crazy but Waters is my favorite member of Floyd and The Wall may be my favorite Floyd album. The only band I've ever paid more for was Rush and that was only by a few bucks.

Question for the White Castle -loving people. They just put one in in my town (first one in Pennsylvania, apparently). What are the prices like at this place? How much do you usually spend and how much do you get for it? I'm curious but I don't usually even bother with fast food unless it's on the dirt cheap side. If I'm gonna spend more than $8 to be full, I'll go to a real restaurant/diner.

If your looking to get full, just go to a restaurant/diner. The best time to get White Castle is in situations where there's gonna be a lot of people and you get the crates. Eating White Castle for a meal is stupid, it's more like snack food.

The older you get, the less choice you have in that regard, and the less it matters.

It only matters at school because everyone is segmented by age.

I bought a Gamecube game for my nephews to play on their Wii, and it worked for the most part but it acted really buggy. At some points the game just randomly froze. It wasn't a used game either.

Kinda makes me wonder if they did away with the backwards compatibility because it had issues like that, but either way I hope your luck is better.

This. There's no reason to own a Wii if you can't play far superior Gamecube games on it.

To be fair, there's no reason to own a Wii when you can own an Xbox instead... :eyes:

Only like twice when me and some friends were playing MArio Golf: Toadstool Tour and the game crashed randomly. But we played it a ton for a week and it only happened twice.

Yeah, they announced with the new generation of Wii's that Gamecube games would no longer work. It still surprises me how so few people know of this, they are being sneaky ducks. I'd be furious if I bought one of those new ones and found that out the hard way.

I've never encountered any problems with Gamecube games on the Wii, so hopefully that won't happen this time around. I really want to waste hours away on Luigi's Mansion and Wind Waker, so it best not.

Damn that's fucked up. The main reason I love the Wii is because it's the most nostalgia-friendly console between the Gamecube compatibility (GC most underrated console ever, ridiculously awesome) and the whole downloadable (S)NES games deal. The exclusive games don't really have enough pull over other consoles this gen but I would be super pissed if I got a new Wii and couldn't Gamecube on it.

Oh well, get a used one for even cheaper. I've never used a Gamecube controller with Wii but I think it was a great idea to make them compatible for Wii games (since those sticks get annoying). I also think the GC controller is basically the best of it's time.

Eh, I think Smash would be just as good if not better on a 360/playstation controller. Not that many buttons needed.

Speaking of which, how many people use they x/y buttons to jump versus the stick? I've always been using the stick, and just found out the other day that all my friends who I've been Smashing with every day for the past year and a half now use the buttons.

Yup, new Wiibees are going to be pretty upset if they don't know that. I also value the Wii for nostalgia friendly purposes. Skyward Sword and Galaxy 2 are going to keep me busy, but I want some time to give to the ol' Gamecube ones as well (and even some downloaded N64 classics). Especially since it'll be the only time I have given my workload seemingly never ends. :(

And on topic of Smash, I'm a hardcore Gamecube controller user. I can do with the Wii one, but GC feels so much more natural.

Buttons all the way. Also, N64 smash bros > all. So much epic shit happens in that game!

The last one was when we shattered the shield of one of my friends. He was Pikachu, I was Captain Falcon, my other friend was Ness. Me and my other friend who was Ness both wanted to fuck Pikachu up bad, so out of nowhere, we somehow managed to falcon punch and hit Pikachu with Ness's up B (PK Thunder to the back, sends him flying and does a lot of damage) AT THE SAME TIME!!! We all went flying in different directions, probably the greatest thing that's happened in the game so far

God, that sounds incredible.

I used to be a snobby N64 elitist too, but then we all got addicted to Brawl. It's a better game in almost every way. Only thing I miss from the original were Luigi's feel and the size of Sector Z. Probably my favorite Smash map.

lol Sector Z was WAY too big on the 64. I hate playing on it. The only good thing about it is that if everyone is on one side of the map, I just throw land mines on the opposite side so that if someone tries booking it to the other side for whatever reason, they got a hell of a surprise waiting for them!

And I do like Brawl, it's got a ton more stuff and it's fun but it seems that not a lot of epic stuff happens compared to N64.

Yeah, I miss those mines man. Definitely had some crazy moments.

In terms with my friends and I, epic shit happens ALL THE TIME in Brawl. We call C Falc's side aerial smash "The Knee of Justice", and you are required to yell out "JUSTIIIIIIIICE" if you pull it off. A suicidal Ganondorf side-B also fucks major shit up. We get super fucking competitive, trying to get spike kills when people are recovering, memorizing move prioroties, downloading mods, keeping an overarching kill count and k/d ratios, etc. It's a little unhealthy.

Nice dude. The Crunchlab/Liquifire combo is killer. I played them once in a JPX in my local Guitar Center (a $2500 guitar, but sooooo worth it).

They normally sell for $800, but I had a special promo coupon that got me $100 from Guitar Center. With tax, total came to $741. This is the most expensive guitar I've bought yet, but should be well-worth every penny spent. I really can't wait to get it. I love John Petrucci, but that's not really why I bought the guitar. I did a lot of research and this literally has like EVERYTHING I want and none of the stuff I don't.
