It really depends for me. I have some shirts that have graphic, violent designs on them, I have some that are subtle. Vibrant color fonts and stuff of the nature doesn't bother, I tend to buy shirts on the designs, not on the font or coloring. I do agree on the large, stupid phrases shirts (I made an exception with the Macho Man Randy Savage All Shall Perish shirt I got at Mayhem this year, the back was far too funny). I didn't buy a Machine Head shirt at Mayhem because most of them "MACHINE FUCKING HEAD" or "BANG YOUR FUCKING HEAD" on the front.

The most vulgar i have is a Kreator "Flag of Hate" shirt.

I have an Asphyx shirt that has the logo in gray at the front that's pretty cool but on the back it has "If you won't face death, we will" which annoys me......and I think I will go listen to some Asphyx at the gym!!!

It's a shame you missed out on that.

Awesome batch of purchased records there Treghet. Total score.
It seems like in the last 3 years used metal records have gotten more expensive, which is really goddamn annoying. Maiden, Priest, Motorhead and Sabbath were all like less than $5 a few years ago, and now in most stores I go to the owners must look at ebay too much and think they can sell em for a lot more. When I was in Massachusetts this summer some place had Number of the Beast in pretty tattered condition (and nothing special about it to warrant the price) and they were trying to sell it for $30. Lame. :hmm:

Gah, the original kind of metalcore (metallic hardcore) and the new kind of metalcore (At The Gates-worship) are like two different genres. I just deal with this by referring to bands such as Botch, Converge, etc. as hardcore. Gets the job done.

I'm only a casual Dream Theater fan so i'm not really in a rush but I should listen to that sometime soon. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions ranging from "one of their best albums" to "absolute garbage". The needle drop went as far to say it sounds like bad nu metal.

Bad nu-metal? I don't get that at all. Just sounds like DT to me. I liked the first single and listened to the disc on Spotify before I bought it. I had low expectations honestly, but Portnoy seems to have taken a lot of bad habits with him when he left.

They're a bit pricey, but they're easily the most comfortable thing I've ever worn on my feet. Ever. And they help with your posture, and walking more like you should, and such. Part of the reason I got them was my continuing interest in yoga (my instructor has a pair, and recommended them highly).

I've been wearing them for only a few weeks, and I can already splay all of my toes out like fingers and wiggle them - even the pinky ones!

Haha. I basically never buy anything at festivals except the event shirt and maybe one band's tour shirt, if it's a rare tour or something. Everything else is normally far too espensive. Especially CDs. I can almost always get them cheaper online.

This year I bought the Sweden Rock Festival shirt, and Iced Earth's one because it was the last tour with Barlow. Nothing at High Voltage Festival, although I would have bought a Thunder shirt if they'd made a commemorative one for their one-off appearance. But they didn't.

And I probably won't be going to any more this year :(

I got em from the presale on their site, $75-80 for two. They were probably 10 bucks more on ticketmaster. This is what sucks about seeing a good band go mainstream :bouville:

Yeah I just looked it up and including the convenience fee they're $43 :hecho:

Luckily for me my sis lives in SF so maybe she'll be able to go to the box office and get us our tickets.

Hmm, I might have gone for that top-right one. Only thing was though that all of our shows were the 'Last Fair Deal Gone Down' anniversary ones, so a shirt from that tour with the cover of a different album on would have been kinda silly.

All the Last Fair Deal shirts sucked.

I don't recall that one. We had one with the anniversary remaster album cover, one with that silly road sign graphic, and I think there was one with the Night Is The New Day artwork.

Those do look comfortable. Stupid. But comfortable.Which works out perfectly, because I bought them 100% for comfort and 0% as a fashion statement. :finger:

Yeah, I can't justify the pricetag on the Vibrams yet. Someday....Not gonna lie - they are quite pricey. I just had to make the decision that they were worth it, based on how comfortable they are, and how much good they do for my posture and gait, and so far I'm 100% satisfied with the money I spent. I've had some pretty severe buyer's remorse on a few things that were cheaper than these shoes, too - so that's saying something, I think.

Those shoes just look like they invite douchebags to stomp on your toes.Yeah, but lucky for me they're being worn on the feet of a 6'-3" 250-pounder who people are always asking where (not if) I played college football, so people kinda tend to go out of their way to not step on my toes. :allan:
