These:
http://www.amazon.com/Philips-SHN5200-28-Cancelling-Headphone/dp/B004JXXQDM

Despite the description, there is no "volume control adjustment" on the cable.

These headphones are extremely comfortable, but not nearly loud enough. My previous $8 pair was much louder.

Can someone recommend me some headphones, possibly similar to this in style (over the ear), that are loud as well?

Then they should be plenty loud enough. I mean, iPod's go up freaking loud. People have them loud enough on the trains here that everyone else can hear what they're listening to. They're either deaf or stupid.

Is your's, like, broken or something? ;)

These headphones are just extremely quiet. That's all there is to it. My ipod is fine, because any other given pair of headphones are plenty loud. These might have 1/5 the volume of any other random pair I've ever used. It's just weird because I paid more for these than I've paid for pairs in the past, and got less in return. Sub par sound quality, not crisp, very muffled, and very low volume. I'm returning these and going with something else.

Black Dahlia Murder - Ritual 16 dollars (later regretted getting this, as I could have gotten it at FYE for 14 bucks, but I'm not gonna lose sleep over 3 bucks)

Neil Young - After the Gold Rush
Jethro Tull - Stand Up

I spun A Matter of Life and Death today for the first time in a few weeks and man was it a great listen. Still my favorite album ever. Prompted me to buy some AMOLAD stuff that I didn't get back when it came out. So I bought:

Different World EU single
Different World DVD single
Different World 7 inch vinyl picture disc

I need to stop spending money even though I got all 5 things for about $37, which is pretty good I think.

Seriously though, back in 2001-2004, I used to be the biggest poseur ever. I mean, I could skateboard, and I loved doing it, but all I could do was an ollie, and drop in. Dropping in was the shit, though!

I had some absolutely HUGE white Globe shoes back in the day with the super, uber baggy pants. I always wanted a pair of the epic D3 2001's, but my mom refused to get 'em for me since they looked so ridiculous.

Ooh, nice. I've heard good things about Toki Tori. I'd be more more inclined to buy more games normally, but I'm already backed up on titles I need to play through. Only got 1 ticket so far... Toki Tori is fun. It's a nice little puzzle game with a rewind mechanic ala Braid.

I know all too well lol. There are several games I have yet to install on my list. I have my eye on the KF pack, Alien Breed 2 (since it's a full game), and maybe the TF2 glasses.

Last February, we actually had a snow day for college. We watched 'em all. 11 Hours, 20 somethin minutes. INSANE. If you're gonna watch LOTR though, it's the way to do it.

I wonder how many times I've seen Return of the King... 40 at least :/

The Silmarillion is a collection of J. R. R. Tolkien's mythopoeic works, edited and published posthumously by his son Christopher Tolkien in 1977, with assistance from Guy Gavriel Kay, who later became a noted fantasy writer. The Silmarillion, along with J. R. R. Tolkien's other works, forms a comprehensive, yet incomplete, narrative that describes the universe of Middle-earth within which The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings take place.

something about Valhalla threw me off in the chorus and kinda ruined it for me
The Bards Song wasnt my cup of tea just because it takes a lot to get me into slower songs but no doubt the guys got a great voice, both of them do actually
Imaginations was alright

I traded in some old textbooks to Amazon. And I turned that credit into:

Pre-orders:
Dying Fetus - History Repeats...
Exhumed - All Guts, No Glory
Revocation - Chaos of Forms

Others:
Cannibal Corpse - The Bleeding
Cannibal Corpse - Tomb of the Mutilated
Cryptopsy - None So Vile
Gorod - Leading Vision
Grave - Into the Grave
Origin - Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas
Origin - Origin
Pantera - Official Live (Used)
Skinless - Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead (Used)
Spawn of Possession - Noctambulant (Used)

And in my ongoing pursuit of obtaining physical copies of albums I've been listening to for a while, I also ordered:
Hate Eternal - I, Monarch (Used)
Vital Remains - Dechristianize (Used)
Vital Remains - Icons of Evil (Used)

And I still have a nice chunk of credit leftover.

Fuck the rest of those. Damn.

I wouldn't argue with Mortiis...

Unless he tried to convince me releasing his new album as a name-your-price download ONLY is a good idea. Then I'd full on rant at the fucker.

I know that Mortiis was on support for Combichrist's Europe tour earlier this year, but I didn't know they opened up for Rammstein.

Yeah, London date was yesterday, but since Mortiis went label-less, I was faced with buying a ticket, and didn't want to pay Combichrist's price just to see Mortiis play half and hour and then NOT EVEN BE ABLE TO BUY HIS NEW CD AFTERWARDS.

And no, he hasn't supported Rammstein, I was saying I wouldn't argue with him being selected this time ;)

On the fence about getting Tranformers: War for Cybertron on Steam for $7. Probably not, since I just got Portal 2.

I passed on it and Dragon Age Ultimate. It was tough though. Today, I'm considering Frozen Synapse, Alpha Protocol, and Bully.

Alpha Protocol not worth it. Good call on DA ultimate; Origins is one of my favorite games of all time!
