I'm not 100% sure just yet (just finished it up). Very laid back but in my opinion not as bluesy, probably since they fired the organist and harmonica dude off the roof. It'll take a live performance or two and some more listens before I pass judgment, but overall I'd rank it lower than Beale Street after one go.

There's nothing bad about Holy War at all. It's just that on Starfall they really developed their own identity. Well, I guess they kind of stole a little of it from Evergrey, who's influence is creeping all over that album. But they morphed from a generic power metal band into this unique and cool melodic metal band with some melodic death metal musical elements in a great fashion.

Yeah. Truth be told I'm a little scared of the next album. I am sensing they could be the next victim of evolution really helping yet eventually hurting a band. The evolution to bring them from the first two albums to Starfall and Astronomy was amazing, and those two albums are fantastic. However, I fear that if they move any further in that melodic death metal direction as heard on Astronomy, I probably won't really like the results much. We shall see though. Said album is overdue. Astronomy came out almost 3 years ago at this point.

The latter is what I fear the most. It's really overdue, ever since Astronomy came out I've been waiting for the next one. I hope they're not getting lazy/flat out done. No problem.

That album is a colossal step forward for the band. The first album was boring yet good traditional melodic power metal, the second explored more of hard rock direction at times, and now this new one is just something totally different about 20x more creative and better. I'll be anxiously awaiting the fourth album, whenever it eventually happens. I've been following Urban Breed (Bloodbound vocalist) since he was in Tad Morose back in 2004, and this album is probably his best work yet aside from TM's "Undead".

Yeah. I prefer the first album to the second, myself. The vocalist on Book of the Dead is different, in case you couldn't tell. It's Michael Bormann, who sang for German melodic hard rock band Jaded Heart from 1990 through 2004. Great singer, but his performance on that album is kinda average. He sounds more rough.

Left my nigga's house paid (what)
Picked up a girl been tryin to fuck since the 12th grade
It's ironic, I had the brew she had the chronic
The Lakers beat the Supersonics
I felt on the big fat fanny
Pulled out the jammy, and killed the punanny
And my dick runs deep, so deep
So deep put her ass to sleep
