I should have added listened to new albums to see if there's something you like, because bands progress and styles change. Case in Point: Mastodon. Now Mastodon's earlier albums has that growling vocal style which I know you don't like, but Crack The Skye doesn't. And it's definitely their proggiest effort.

Again, yes and no. That Mastadon album is something I intend to eventually hear given the response I've seen, I just haven't gotten around to it.

In my opinion: Enter > Station > Geneva

But the first two are interchangeable - and frankly, the third is gaining ground as we speak. Hell - just get them in chronological order - that's good enough. Even better idea - buy all three. You really won't be disappointed. Russian Circles slays - and if you've had a taste and you like what you've heard, then it's all good.

But the first two are interchangeable - and frankly, the third is gaining ground as we speak. Hell - just get them in chronological order - that's good enough. Even better idea - buy all three. You really won't be disappointed. Russian Circles slays - and if you've had a taste and you like what you've heard, then it's all good.
