One for the annals! I went with Kory G from Beyond The Scar and Rich Davis from Shift (and Mystic Force for you old school headbangers) and little did we know how great a night the 3 of us were going to have. Other than me having a separated shoulder and not being able to crowd surf but everything happens for a reason...

As soon as I saw the God Forbid setlist and it had 9 songs on it I knew it was going to be a good night. I was up on the balcony so I couldn't make out the titles but it was obvious that the opening acts were all getting a few more songs with Bodom off the tour. Let me tell you... God Forbid KILLED! The entire night was a drum clinic and Corey Pierce has to be the most underrated drummer on the planet. The vocals were mixed too low but other than that they put on a great show. I yelled at Corey Pierce after a few songs telling him that he was the F'n Man and he threw a stick up to me that I snagged. More to come on that...

Municipal Waste was next and their setlist had 11 songs on it. My friends went and mingled and I had a flashback to 1988 and headbanged my face off. My only complaint is that they opened with Sadistic Magician which isn't one of their best songs and they lost some of the crowd right off jump. The guitarist only had 1 effect pedal as opposed to God Forbid's guy who had 12. MW's singer is a f'n NUT and a great frontman whether you like the music or not and just like God Fobid, the most talented member of the band was the drummer. I loved them and the crowd response was way better than I thought it would be. They probably should be opening the show so that GF could play Earthsblood but I had fun jamming out to them.

Next up was As I Lay Dying and they rocked. I was 10 beers deep at this point and was going apeshit. I noticed some hot blonde chicks crowd surfing and screaming the words which was cool. The setlist was 11 songs and I think Empty Hearts was the songs that added. I remember some dude crowd surfing up to the stage, grabbing the singers bottle of water, guzzling it then jumping back into the crowd to a huge roar. It was just cool. I also saw some of the worst FAIL moments. Some puss was so afraid to jump into the crowd that he kept getting pushed back on stage and people started booing him. FAIL! hahaha AILD started strong and finished strong. Midway through is a good time to take a piss break & beer run and I did just that.

Here we go... I've already said on here that I think Wrath is the best album I've heard in 5 years and maybe longer. I sat down with the lyrics that day and am now convinced that this album is a masterpiece. One of the 10 or 20 best albums of all time. The fact that I'd be able to tell that to Randy Blythe personally is something I'll never forget. LOG Killed it! They are in a league that few bands will ever reach. They are the Slayer of this generation. They are the best at what they do and they are incredible live.

Now to the fun part... After Redneck Will Adler was changing guitars for Black Label and some total douche bag standing next to me threw a soda at him. I turned to him and screamed WTF Assclown? Will stopped the show and was making a punch motion and pointing at the guy. If I was 100% I would have thrown a bomb but my boys knew I had a bum shoulder and after Randy said "clock that MF'er" my boy Kory G came through with a right hand that grazed the guy. Rich Davis came over the top with a BOMB that just missed and just as I threw a left hook at him Security snagged him up. As soon as we got back on the rail Will was motioning for us to come backstage. We went apeshit to Black Label and then we went to the stage Will was waiting for us to escort us back. Those guys treated us like f'n heroes giving us beers and took a bunch of pics. I saw Corey Pierce and had him sigh the stick I caught. I had to piss so bad that I barged in on the AILD dressing room and they even were totally cool and thanked me for dealing with that assclown. I got to talk to Randy Blythe a 2nd time and told him about the last time I met him at the Halo of Lucusts/Kingdom of Sorrow show and he couldn't have been cooler. They started packing up and we hit it.

As if the night couldn't get better my boy Kory G gets a call from his Jagermeister connection and Beyond The Scar is going to open for Slayer in Camden, NJ August 7th on the Rockstar Mayhem Tour. WHAAAAAT?

Does anyone know how I can post pics on here? Can you use photobucket? I put some on my myspace page if you want to check em out.

If anyone goes to shows in Baltimore or is going to the Mayhemfest in NJ, hit me up!

Thanks man. There is something about Rams Head live that brings out the best in bands. When 7dust and BLS played recently they had a crab feast backstage with a bunch of people. If I didn't have to be at work at 5:am the next day I would have been pulling strings to get back there. I heard Zakk and Lajon were the coolest dudes and everyone was just hanging out.

If you're on the east coast I highly recommend checking out Rams Head Live. It's as close to Hammerjacks as we have now.

Speaking of that if anyone remembers Hammerjacks they're having a Hammerjacks reunion in July at Recher Theatre. Kix, Child's Play and a few other bands are playing but the guys from Wrathchild (America) and other cool bands are going to be there. My girl Jill Deville posted a bunch of pics with Rob Halford, Axl Rose, Ozzy, The Road Warriors, The Ramones & other cool people. Man I miss that place...

Several people asked me about the Hammerjacks Reunion date. It's Saturday, July 18th at Recher Theatre.

There is going to be a shitton of 80's metal people there along with a bunch of local celebrities catching up on the good ole days.

I'll post a link to the facebook page with all the pics from back then. The picture of Rob Halford just ordering a drink at the bar with no one recognizing him is priceless!

Hell yeah Bro. Hit me up on myspace and you can party with us. We got 6 hotel rooms with another band and are going to be throwing down Friday night and leaving Saturday. If I don't see you early (they're the 2nd band to play and 1st on the Jager stage) I'll be chilling with them at the meet & greet tent. What a great lineup of bands.

I promised Hammerjacks pics and here they are. These chicks are the reason for global warming and the hole in the ozone layer. hahaha

Can't wait for the reunion!!!
